My son's preschool class is reading the book "Flat Stanley" and they are doing a project to go along with it.... They are going to make "Flat Children" for each of the kids in class... basically a paper doll with a picture of one of the kids on it. They want to send the dolls to family and friends in different locations, and have them take their "Flat Dylan" or "Flat Sarah" to see the sights... take a picture of the Flat child in the different locations, make notes of where they go, and mail the pictures, notes and dolls back to the daycare. The purpose is basically to give the kids a geography lesson without them even realizing they're getting one. It's a cool way for the kids to learn about different places.
Chris and Paul were the first people that came to mind, and i know we have folks from all over the US and the world here, so if any of you would be interested in helping out, let me know! i'll need to get your mailing address if you want to participate... you can send me a PM here, and i'll give you my email address and phone number and you can contact me with your mailing address.
Anyone?
